Animal rights activists have been enraged. On the front
page of newspapers, they have argued nature should have
taken its course – better a lethal injection than a bottle-fed
Knut, in danger of losing his inner bear.
The zoo has offered assurances to a horrified public that
it has nothing but Knut's best interests at heart. Even
the animal rights activists acknowledged it would be cruel
to put him to death now.
Kösen’s designers have been observing polar bears in
Berlin Zoo for many years. Their studies have been the basis
for Kösen’s polar bears for some time, some of them
have even received design awards.
Kösen’s polar bear cub Knut is made from high quality
plush and is very soft and cuddly.
Because the real-life Knut is being bathed daily, Kösen’s
plush cub comes in a bath tub.
